New Website

We are pleased to advise that the new AIE website has been launched at our web address www.aie.org.au (if you have any issues you may need to clear your cache).

We encourage you to explore the new and improved features of the website which aims to provide an enhanced experience for you as a member or interested party. Some past content is still being updated progressively but the website is fully functional.

New features will be explained in the e-Newsletter from time to time.

Tax Time

An example of a new feature of current interest is the ability to download a checklist of your payments to the AIE. This can be accessed through your profile on the new website. It lists subscriptions and event registrations booked online through the AIE website or the Secretariat. Unfortunately the list cannot include payments direct to some Branches or third party registration services.

For many members, subscription and event payments to AIE may be tax deductable and you should consult your accountant.

Membership Login

One of the more common problems in logging onto the AIE website has been user difficulties in recalling their login details. This is necessary to register for events online and access your account details and 'Member Only' services. In future, to simplify the login process, new members and interested parties will be given their email address as the default Username for login. The user will also be encouraged to select an easy-to-remember personalised password.

If you are a current user, member or contact, already in the database i.e. if you receive this e-Newsletter, we encourage you to also adopt this approach (Username = email address; Password = personal choice). You can change the login details in your "profile" in the Sign In area of the new website. If you cannot recall your current login details, there are links to receive a temporary password to access your account. Alternatively you can contact the Secretariat on free call 1800 629 945.

Sydney Branch

Gwen Cant, who has provided secretariat services to the Sydney Branch for many years, recently tendered her resignation. Gwen's dedicated service to the branch and support to the committee and the wider membership has enabled the Sydney branch to stay in touch with our members and host many successful events over the years. The Sydney Branch Committee wishes to thank Gwen for her commitment and efforts in this vital role. Gwen has been a familiar face on the registration desk welcoming our members to our technical meetings and seminars over the years, and will be missed by all. We wish Gwen an enjoyable retirement with her family and friends.
