Board Matters

The national elections saw Clare Anderson (Melbourne), John Blik (Sydney) and   Brian Truman (Perth) elected for 3 year terms. Paul McGregor was subsequently appointed by the Board for 12 months to fill the casual vacancy created by the resignation of Anntonette Dailey (Canberra).

Peter Gorton has been appointed by the Canberra Branch as its representative and there remains a vacancy for a Tasmanian representative following the resignation of Jane Sargison.

The Board expressed appreciation to Anntonette Dailey and Jane Sargison for the valuable contribution they made to the running of the Institute. The Board congratulates all new directors and looks forward to their new ideas for development of the Institute.

We also wish to acknowledge the retirement of David Allardice after 32 years on the AIE Council/Board. He has been such an integral part of the administration of the AIE that the Board has asked him take on a part time Executive Officer position for one year to assist in transition to new administrative arrangements.

At its first meeting for 2013, the Board elected Brian Truman (Perth) for a second year as national President, Mike Cochran (South Australia) as Vice President  and Paul McGregor and Glen Currie to continue as Hon Secretary and Hon Treasurer respectively.

A full listing of the Board for 2013 is available on the website
