Globally the energy sector is going through a transformation with renewables leading the charge and QLD has 50% renewables target for 2030 and is a signatory for the under 2 mou. With a boom in renewable energy projects, a 400MW reverse auction in process, falling prices for solar pv and storage, changes in operation and regulation of the market, a new renewable asset GOC in the mix and the commonwealth and COAG discussions of the national energy guarantee – it an busy and exciting time for energy in QLD. With all of this change upon us – the AIE is pleased the announce to present an evening with Steve Blume, President of the Smart Energy Council of Australia.
Steve is the president of the Australian Smart Energy Council (formerly the Australian Solar Council and Energy Storage Council) , the Global solar council, the AIE, is the CEO of NoCarbon, a private and public sector senior executive and a former political advisor to Simon Corbell, Kim Beazley and Bob McMullan. Steve works to amplify the voice of smart energy, energy storage and solar industries that offer a 100% clean energy future for Australia and the world.
