AIE Sydney | Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy - The Supply/Demand Context
Date: Tue 09 Jun 2020 @5:00pm to 6:00pm
"Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy sets a vision for a clean, innovative, safe and competitive hydrogen industry that benefits all Australians. It aims to position our industry as a major player by 2030.
"The strategy outlines an adaptive approach that equips Australia to scale up quickly as the hydrogen market grows. It includes a set of nationally coordinated actions involving governments, industry and the community.” (Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy – DISER webpage)
As a key part of the development of the Strategy, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Energy Council engaged Deloitte to undertake an analysis of the international supply/demand outlook for hydrogen, and to understand Australia’s potential contribution as an exporter and as a domestic user of hydrogen. Deloitte’s report, Australian and Global Hydrogen Demand Growth Scenario Analysis, is published on the COAG Energy Council National Hydrogen Strategy website.
In this webinar, two of the report’s authors – John O’Brien and Shari Boyd – will present and discuss the findings and insights arising from their analyses of potential future hydrogen scenarios, and also comment on how these might be impacted in a post-COVID-19 world.
