Women in Energy invites you to an exceptional event in person, featuring Fadzi Whande, Global Diversity & Inclusion Strategist who recently joined the Energy Industry as the Principal Diversity and Inclusion Consultant at Western Power.

Recent events globally have caused Social Disruptions on both a personal and professional level. As part of this event, Fadzi will share her views on how Social Disruptions have impacted the Diversity and Inclusion Agenda of 2020 through:

  • The impact of COVID-19 & Black Lives Matter on organisations
  • The importance of Intersectionality
  • The engagement in active Allyship

About Fazdi Whande

An award-winning global diversity and inclusion strategist and social justice advocate, Fadzi has worked across the not-for-profit, government and business sectors in Africa, Australia, UK and USA. Her work primarily focuses on integrating diversity and inclusion practice throughout all aspects of the business. Fadzi is a skilled facilitator in areas of unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, racial equity and social justice.

Over the course of her career, Fadzi has received numerous accolades for her personal and professional accomplishments in championing diversity and inclusion. She is a recipient of the International Racial Equity Leadership Award at the National Summit for Courageous Conversations, USA, and an award finalist for Western Australian of the Year and Australian Human Rights ‘Racism it Stops with me’. She serves as the founding member of the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board for Business Chicks, Deputy Chair of the Board of Volunteering WA, Board of Directors for the Museum of Freedom and Tolerance and is an Ambassador for 100 Women.
