AIE YEP Perth | Yandin Wind Farm Presentation: Largest Wind Farm in the SWIS
Date: Wed 30 Sep 2020 @ 5:00pm to 6:00pm AWST
Yandin Wind Farm is a RATCH-Australia & Alinta Energy investment.
In mid-2019 Alinta Energy commenced construction of the Yandin Wind Farm, located in Dandaragan Shire, Western Australia (WA). When completed the Yandin Wind Farm will be the largest Wind Farm in WA’s South West Interconnected System (SWIS). Comprising 51 turbines, each with a capacity of 4.2MW, the project is expected to cost approximately $400 million and has been shaped by valuable input from the local community and local landowners.
The wind farm will connect to Western Power’s 330 kV electricity network via a new 10km transmission line and terminal station that will be built, owned and operated by Western Power. Vestas will operate and maintain the wind farm from completion of construction under a long-term service agreement.
This presentation will cover technical and commercial development aspects of the project, project drivers and transmission connection.
