Commercialising Large Scale Renewable Energy Generation

Venue: DLA Piper, Level 9, 480 Queen St, Brisbane, QLD 4000 (enter via Adelaide St)

Date: Wed 18 Jul 2018 @ 5.30pm networking for a 6pm-7.15 pm event

Vanessa Sullivan - Director, Lyon Group
Anil Nangia - Managing Director, Vena Energy (formerly Equis Energy)
Rosahlena Robinson - Director, Altura Group

The national electricity market is being radically transformed by the entry of large scale renewable energy generation - a trend that is expected to accelerate due to the combined effects of falling technology costs, policies to reduce carbon emissions and the progressive retirement of aging coal fired power stations. Storage technologies are poised to address dispatchability. In Queensland, the  government's target of 50% renewable energy by 2030 will require a step change in renewable energy generation investment. However, new developments must overcome a range of commercialisation challenges.

Given this backdrop, the Australian Institute of Energy is delighted to host an evening with three major project developers who will share their perspective on the development landscape,  associated risks and opportunities, and the outlook for the future.
