The Australian Institute of Energy and the State Government of Victoria invites you to join us for a presentation by David Mooney, Director of the Strategic Energy Analysis Centre of the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
David has held this position since 2002. He has extensive knowledge of renewable energy technologies and markets.
The Centre undertakes expert analysis and research across a range of energy technologies and markets, and the challenges and opportunities for integration of new technologies into current energy infrastructure and electricity grids. The Centre also undertakes energy and climate policy analysis.
Simon Corbell, the Victorian Renewable Energy Advocate, will open the event. Simon’s role is to promote the State’s renewable energy sector, provide independent advice to the Victorian Government and assist Victoria to meet its renewable energy targets.
Simon was previously Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Environment and Climate Change of the ACT where he championed the policy which put the ACT on track for 100 per cent renewable energy by 2020, through policies to support large scale solar, wind and battery storage projects.
This event provides a great opportunity to meet like-minded professionals from all areas of the energy sector.
