Newcastle - Advanced Energy Technologies Under Development at Nier

The Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources (NIER) was established with a clear agenda, to provide a multidisciplinary model for transformational research in energy and resources.

• 4:10 pm Arrival / Introduction;
• 4:10 to 4:50 Presentation by Prof Behdad Moghtaderi (including 5 min for questions)
• 4:50 to 5:10 pm Coffee break;
• 5:10 to 6:00 pm Site tour; comprising:
          o Short tour of selected research labs
          o Tour of the 30 m Propagation Tube facility
          o Tour of the chemical looping pilot-scale facilities
          o Tour of mineral carbonation facility

Visitors to wear long sleeves and fully covered shoes for the site visit. The personal protection gear will be provided.
