South Australia - October Sundowner - Update on Our Energy Plan

Venue: MinterEllison, Level 10, 25 Grenfell Street, Adelaide SA 5000

Date: Tue 17 Oct 2017 @5:15pm to 6:30pm

Sundowner Event: Tuesday, 17 October 2017

Speaker: Sam Crafter, Executive Director, Energy Plan
Implementation Task Force, Department of the Premier and Cabinet

On 7 April 2017, shortly after the announcement of “Our Energy Plan”, the Hon.
Tom Koutsantonis, Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy, discussed the SA
Government’s ambitious plan to address the State’s electricity security, reliability
and affordability challenges.

Six months on and with the 2017‐18 summer rapidly approaching, the branch is
delighted to welcome Mr Sam Crafter, the Executive Director overseeing the
delivery of the Plan, to provide an update on the status of the initiatives and to
share insights and learnings from the process. Discussion will cover installation of the world’s largest (100
MW) lithium ion battery near Jamestown, SolarReserve’s new 150MW solar thermal plant at Port Augusta,
and the Government‐owned temporary generation.

The ‘Sundowner’ format is designed to be a less‐formal, lower‐cost alternative appealing to a broad crosssection
of industry professionals. We encourage as many as possible to share a drink and conversation with
industry colleagues, while hearing from the man at the forefront of the State’s most significant Energy
policy.
