The Young Energy Professionals (YEP) Network, Melbourne, is pleased to invite you to the first Energy 101 Series for 2018.

In association with the AIE, the YEP Energy 101 Series is designed as a knowledge and further education platform for young and emerging energy professionals. Series 1 for 2018 will focus on Electricity Markets of today and the future.

Topic 1: NEM Fundamentals – Basic functions and roles within the National Electricity Market (Presented by Scott Jeffery & Jordan Mill, EnergyAustralia)

Topic 2: The (Power) Markets of the Future - how customer-owned distributed energy resources can play their part in the energy markets of the future (Presented by Doug Cook, GreenSync)

In a ‘classroom-like’ format, the lectures will also aim to add a practical component while also encouraging questions and discussion.  The event will conclude with an opportunity to network, enjoy some pizza and of course a beverage. So please come and join us to engage in some thought provoking discussion, expand your knowledge and meet some new faces.

The YEP (Young Energy Professional) Network is a knowledge sharing and networking group tailored to the interests of members of the energy industry 35 and under, but open to all. YEP Melbourne exists as a neutral platform for the promotion of discussion, networking and professional development - spanning the whole energy supply stream.

About the Australian Institute of Energy

The Australian Institute of Energy is a not-for-profit, professional association of people and corporations with a keen interest in the energy sector. The Institute was founded in 1978 and has eight regional branches around Australia. Members have an interest in the generation and use of energy as well as the social and environmental impact of such use.

The Institute has no political or other formal affiliations. Our mission is to promote a better understanding and awareness of energy issues as a contribution to the improved use of energy technology and the development of responsible energy policies.
