| The Australian Institute of Energy’s
National Conference for 1999, was built around the theme Energy for
the New Millennium.
At the end of the 20th century , we face a sea change in the energy
industry in Australia and around the world. The papers from this
conference address the key issues facing us in this period of rapid change.
Concerns on global warming, population growth, environment degradation
and resource depletion in relation to energy supply and use are reviewed,
as well as the potential contributors to achieving a more sustainable energy
industry into the next century.
