ABOUT US - SYDNEY BRANCH
AIE Sydney is an active local branch of the Australian Institute of Energy. Our membership base includes professionals from across the local and national energy industry, reflecting traditional and emerging energy sector activities in New South Wales.
As with all AIE branches, AIE Sydney operates in accordance with a set of Branch Rules. These are subject to and should be read with the AIE Constitution and By-Laws.
Events Program
AIE Sydney normally holds a speaking event once a month. These are generally on a Monday or Tuesday evening, with refreshments, networking and a presentation commencing between 5:30 and 6:00pm. Meetings are most often held in or around the Sydney CBD - please refer to individual meeting notices to confirm details.
Members and non-members are welcome to attend. There is normally a small charge for non-members and between 40 and 70 people usually attend. Typically the presentation lasts for 30 minutes or more, followed by discussion and question time, with most meetings concluding by 7:30pm.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, events have been held online as webinars. The committee intends to reinstate face-to-face meetings as soon as possible but also hopes to continue to offer online presentations as well.
AIE Sydney has also hosted a number of half-day forums. These typically examine a particular topic in some depth, usually 4-8 presentations by a range of experts in their fields, extending from after lunch and concluding with discussion and refreshments.
AIE Sydney is always looking for help in putting together the program. If you can assist in any way please contact us.
