AIE Membership Grades
AIE offers a range of member grades and Membership Benefits for individuals, companies and organisations in energy-related disciplines and their application. The definitions of these grades are based on the Constitution and ByLaws - ByLaw 3.
AIE's membership is pro-rated quarterly.
Member - $189 per year
Members hold appropriate tertiary qualification in their field (or equivalent training) and have been working in an energy-related professional capacity for at least 2 years (full time equivalent).
Associate - $189 per year
Associate members are engaged in, or have an interest in energy-related disciplines and their application. This grade has the simplest application to unlock AIE benefits like event discounts.
Fellow - $189 per year
Fellows are established industry leaders who have been Members of the AIE for at least 2 years and engaged in professional practice directly associated with energy disciplines and their application for a minimum of five (5) years (full time equivalent) after obtaining an appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent training. They will have either attained a position of superior responsibility, or are recognised as having a considerably enhanced status within an energy discipline, sufficient to justify the election to this grade.

Graduate - $92 per year
Graduate members hold a recent (within 4 years) and relevant tertiary qualification and are engaged professional employment directly associated with energy disciplines and their application.
Student - $40 per year
Students at tertiary institutions undertaking studies to prepare for professional practice directly associated with energy-related disciplines and their application.
Corporate – State Branch Membership $563 per year (includes 2 representatives)
Entitles companies, partnerships, associations, public authorities, institutions or entities directly associated with energy-related disciplines and their application to nominate two employees per organisation for corporate membership at a single branch.
Corporate – National Membership - $2,560 per year (includes 10 representatives)
Entitles companies, partnerships, associations, public authorities, institutions or entities directly associated with energy-related disciplines and their application to nominate ten employees per organisation for corporate membership at the branch of each employee’s choice.
Additional Corporate representative - $189 per year
Nominate an additional employee per organisation for state or national corporate memberships. Invoiced on email request.
